Wink

Showing my age now but, i may have a new job and dont want to drive the TT there every day and NO its not a hairdressing job, b4 anyone comments.

So i got to thinking of a cheap fun car to run and i thought of 1st shape corrolla GTI fwd or rwd. R5 turbo, 309gti, 21 turbo, uno turbo, BX gti, 106xsi and so on. Question is i can not remember when i saw one of these that wasnt molested and "maxed" up. are they still out there?

Cheers

Search on Ebay-there's a 21 Turbo in Wick, of all places.

I was thinking the same. How about an Alfa 75?

Saw a bonny looking Renault Alpine GTA for sale the other day. Remember them? Seemed very cheap as well.

bx gtis are easy to get hold of and you can get the 16v versions as well with a bit of luck. Still look absolutely awful though if you ask me 309 gtis are gradually being recognised as good 205 gtis are getting hard to find, 309 gtis are only slightly less hard to find a good one now. RS turbos - not a chance.

On the way to pick up 309gti tonight
To replace the wifes 205 gti (it got written off).

115k, 2 owners, plus bills galore.
The last 15k in 3yrs.

Went for the 309, as decent 205's are becoming rare, plus a price tag to match.
The wife also wanted PAS.

Even better, I get to drive it everyday

Mark

Question

Off topic, sorry!! Can any of you 205 owners tell me whether you can fit a mountain bike in the back with the back seats folded? Presume you would have to take a wheel off if so.

Thanks

Mike

Should be able to mate, its quite roomy with the seats down. That and I've managed to get one in the rear of a 106 before, so must fit in the 205!
