Does anyone know if it's possible to fit an onboard computer to an e36 coupe which doesn't currently have one?

How much work is involved, or does it plug straight in?

Rik.

Question

So there is a forum for BMW fans, why do they all seem to hang out on here then?

What a wag!!!

Actually went over there and took a look. Saw the post about the guy who totalled his 3 series by driving like a ****. No complaints as he said it was his fault, but some of the replies were a real laugh. Comments (paraphrased) like 'Oh yes, but the roads were a bit bad that night' and 'well these cars are little tail happy'.

In fact I think I may have found somewhere new to hang out - j/k

Sigh... used to be an Impreza driver many moons ago. Sold in Dec 2001 and defected to a 328. Still miss the outright power of Scooby when it ran about 2bar boost. Eventually sold it with Cosworth Pistons, apexi boost and fuel management......

Scoobynet is still the place to be

Talking

I would say that BMW owners hang out here for the entertainment factor. i.e on an M3 v Scooby thread, we take bets as to how long it is before a Scooby owner says the word "Twisties" or "Wet".

Its normally within the first 3 posts!

rik1471,

I believe it is a bit of a nightmare, I have heard it needs a new or modified loom, aswell as a couple of extra sensors.

I would say many people hang out here not because of it being a Subaru forum, more so that they are car enthusiasts and this forum is by far the busiest and so better numbers of responses to posts.
