Throttle Position Sensors? Whats this from?

Jon, get hold of a -1 or -6 TPS (whichever one should be found on your management) and check the specs are right for your management using a multimeter (resistance and voltage drop).

cheers al - don't matter, it was fitted to my car by clint so I'm sure he knows what he's doing / what it's off. I just was interested thats all.

David - if you kindly read my post. I made NO mention of ford or cosworth.
This is an engine management system made by Weber. This is one of their TPS's.
The engine it's fitted to is NOT a cosworth.
Thank you.

So what exactly is your question??? You have a photo, and a part number and ask where does it come from?? Well, the answer is it comes from Weber. Seems a bit obvious to me.
What car is it on?? Well, who took the pic?? Or what exactly are you getting at?
The pic looks like an RS Turbo, that has maybe been converted to use a cossie ( Weber Marelli ) management system.
Besides, whats the deal, its only a TPS, there are probably plenty of management systems that just happen to use that, or any TPS.

god you scooby lot on here are dense.
Its fitted to my car for gods sake but it was on another make of car before that, which is my question.
PF01 and PF09 are FORD ones. this is PF02. I want to know the technical details of a PF02 compared with other thottle position sensors in their range. ie does it work the same as a PF01 or a PF09 or does it work completely different.

perhaps Weber would be 1st port of call?
Tel: 44 (0) 1932 787100
technical assistance alpha@webcon.co.uk
No need to be rude about it.
What do you think was going to be the reply?
Its a TPS going into a Ford female connector. Natural assumption is that its a TPS for a Ford model.
Perhaps a question on a FORD site would be more appropriate?

Butty,
The point is it has nothing to do with ford as such, its a weber question. Thanks for the phone number, I was given I web address by someone but I couldn't find a contact number. Was annoyed as this was moved out of the main forum when for all I know it might be off a scooby.
Dan - cheers mate, see what weber say. let you know

it's only on a ford because it's been put on my car as an aftermarket addition. So there is no reason to think it came from a ford car.
Weber tell me it's from a Lancer Thema or Fiat Chromo (same part)
They can't tell me if it's like a PF01 or a PF09 though, they are sending over the characteristics of the PF02 to compare.

exactly, the connector is the same as would be used on a PF01 and PF09. I guess ford stamp or make the connector.
Just got to try and see which one it is electrically like. See if it will explain my overfuelling problem. I've got all the characteristics of using the wrong TPS on the wrong ecu ie PF01 on a L8 (designed for L1/L6) or vice versa.
thanks for the input.

thanks nobby. Hadn't thought of that one
he's in florida until next week. I'm trying to stop my overfuelling like mad until then.
if it IS the TPS causing it and not the chip then its a 5 minute job to fix.

Jon,
I seem to remember (and I'm sure Mr Ima will be able to clarify) that 2wd management uses different pins on the TPS compared to the 4x4 TPS, so the signal voltage on one will increase with throttle opening, while it will decrease on the other type.
Might be worth trying it the other way round...?
