A friend has the chance to get one at trade(very very cheap)-he wasn't sure which model but at the price it doesn't really matter which;-).What should he look out for on the different editions?

Avoid the 1.8 cause they're pants, GPX or GPversionR are the ones to go for although the GR isn't much different (just doesn't have the MIVEC or leccy fold in mirrors).

all the V6's have similar performance.

Sounds like a good deal.
But parts can be very expensive - Lights panels etc. So make sure that it dosen't need work doing to it.
Go for a V6 one with a manual gearbox. I think they did a tiptronic one but have heard that it isn't that good.

i've driven all the models and personally the only one i'd go for is a gpx mivec. having said that for less than £3k it sounds like a very good deal!
