Picking up a C180 Elegance on L plate on Sat. Fully loaded, full service history, 77k, nice new sound system, all mine for 3k.
The only similar ones on autotrader are going 5.5k minimum
On the other hand the scoob has now gone

A nice car for wafting along in and a great price...
However, there is nothing particlarly 'elegant' about merc 4-cylinder engines.
My parents bought a C200 (also a gruff 4cyl motor) after chopping in an E36 320iA and they miss the refinement of the engine the most.
It's no fun being a passenger in it either when they try to over take something.
It kicks down and revs to buggery and still can't muster the horses required to make safe progress!
Nice for pottering around in though...
