i know info on the rs when coming out is old rope, but it might be a different story now that folk have run them in!

Mate went from an Evo VI to one and has quite enjoyed the change. Not as frantic feeling and misses the 4WD system, but the Focus does well both in terms of pace (even though it's 60bhp down on his old car) and in terms of cornering, very impressed.
But it's a lot more work, arms are a lot more tired after it as you've got to fight a lot more with the car to get it going where you want it to and not as good off the line (limited torque in 1st gear - and 2nd as well I think).

had a run in one and then a shot WOW !
Deceptivly(sp) quick car ! and handles very well. A bit more enjoyable that the Scoob(except for the note) 'cos you have to drive it more than you do a Scoob.
Will point ChrisG in this direction
Teg R -- Scoob (modded) -- FRS I am sure he will give you the low down
(he is away atm but will be back soon)

My brother has had his for six months loves it! very quick but it has to be driven very hard to keep up with my STI v2, the brakes are amazing but he is already in for a set of pads and they are not cheap!! there are not a lot of tuning goodies available yet but the biggest downer is it looks just like a focus!! no big spoilers or owt!! just a different front bumper and 18"s when he follows me down the road people point at the scoob not the focus!! but hey 20k for that kind of performance can't be bad 212bhp..

I disagree, seeing one in the flesh I think they do have road presence, look much better than a normal Focus despite only subtle alterations, and better than a 2003 WRX for sure (which still looks only marginally less awkward than the bugeye)

Andy its 130 bhp less than my evo was, and you can well notice the diffrence in the inital pickup. The RS is alot slower, but then again i still think its a fantasic car. And its lots of fun as well..

i think they are so drab looking it is just like a bog standard focus and how can 20k be a good amount for that performance it gets ripped by scoobies and 20 k could bye an 2003 or a very powerful subaru or evo

They are not quick, but then neither is a u.k scooby. In fact they are both pi$$ poor performance cars.
Cheers,
