Iain,
tell your brother the following.
3 year residuals on the SL55 are 35%, on the 996TT they are 65% ish. The 911 is believed by many to be the best car in the world. The SL55 is an awesome weapon but its heay and is not as chuckable as the 911. The SL55 is brilliant for cruising around in though. I do have a 911TT and have had other cars alongside and I have kept the 911.
Get your brother over to www.pistonheads.com and go to the Porsche forums.
I am rich1231 there as well.

Cheers guys.
The x50 pack is, i believe, the 450hp conversion with stainless exhaust system etc, i'm just going by what he told me this afternoon, bloody lucky git.
I have been trying to pursuade him to help his little brother out with a Spec C, but he's not having it lol, well you don't get unless you ask i suppose LOL.
Fair play he's work bloody hard to achieve what he has so i think he's entitled to 'treat' himself.
I just can't wait to see it, wow, my MY97 turbo gonna seem totally wimpish in comparision
Regards to all fellow enthusiasts!! and thanks for your input - i'll put the photos up once he gets it, but for now it sits in the showroom - git!
Hmmm, may be i should change my career to marketing - when he first said he was getting into marketing we (family) told him he wouldn't cut it - hmmm guess we've been proven wrong.

My bro just rang me as well, his Pug 309 very nearly got an MOT so its a choice between fixing the 309 or a Rover 214 SEI, perhaps an even tougher question than Iains brothers dilemma !
