Whats the most luxury car you can by s/h for 20k

Given a senario where speed and handling is of no important (god forbid!) , If you had 20k and had to buy a car that was under a year old with the most important factors being comfort,luxury and gadgets what would be the best buy ?
Remember speed handling and the badge is of no importance....

Plenty of Rolls Royce and Bentley cars around for half that. In my youth either was seen as the pinnacle of luxury. Maybe not quite so today, but both still have a luxury stigma attached.

Going to the extreme on this you'll be looking at the Renault Vel Satis and the Peugoet 607. Both very comfortable, and loaded to the gunnels with toys.
Alternatively, look at the Saab 9-5 or even an Vauxhall Omega in Elite trim. Even the Audi A6 could just be about possible as they loose alot more to depreciation than the other Audi models.
But the ultimate loaded to the gunnels, and comfortable machine, that you can get for well under £20k even with delivery miles....
The Citroen C5 3.0 V6 Exclusive with the SE pack.
It has everything on it, there are no other options available to add to this spec, and it has the best ride comfort this side of a Merc S-class and even then its a close run thing. No image but they are everywhere with fortunes off list for dealer demo cars. Auto only, but its 200+hp so it will still roll along nicely. Compare the specs and prices to anything else and ignoring the badge the C5 has them beat hands down. Which is what you asked for.
Just for fun I even found one, 2002 52-reg, 6,000 miles Grey Metallic C5 3.0 V6 Exclusive SE, £14,795. And this is the advertised price at a Citroen Dealer to give an example of how cheap these are. Got to be some room to haggle there. List price was £23k........

Refro has it right - French execs depriciate like a stone so that's your first port of call. If you want something a bit spicy, then try this:

It should be noted though that the French execs will continue to depreciate at a frightening rate and will be worth almost nothing in another 3-4 years.
