Yeah had an s14 version, newer & heavier than s13 model, but slightly more power from 2.0 litre turbo compared to 1.8 litre turbo. Both cars can be tuned very easily. Very easy to get sideways and very forgiving unless being a complete loon.
Have a look at
200SX owners club
Plenty info on tuning / running cost etc.

In a nutshell what I remember:

The earlier S13s have a thinner oil pipe (for cooling) to the turbo which can get obstructed and kills the turbo consequently.

The big service comes at 60 KMiles and includes some bushes and the plugs for the first time IIRC.

See that this has been done.

The short gearing means MPG is not so good.

Had an S14 before the scooby. Great little car with loads of potential. Miss the cheap servicing costs like £147 for a major service from a Nissan dealer !!! Try that with a scoob !!!

Good RWD fun car and pretty reliable to boot - agree with the comments on the turbo though - really needs a turbo timer. Check when starting from cold - you can soemetimes hear a noisy turbo long before it causes any serious probs

Have fun
