My mate has an integrale evo II Martini Edition and he won't give any details on spec etc!!
All I know is that he has had 150mph in less than half a mile. Does that sound feasible?
Came from a trusted source the figure but would that be highly modded or standard? I'm running approx 300bhp and in the same stretch I could only get 125mph.
What do you guys think?

Cheers guys,
I thought that was pretty fast. I haven't been in it but my cousin says he was with another passenger too when it was done. Like I say, it is a martini edition so I don't know if that has a higher power engine as part of that or if it is heavily modded.
I was pretty sure that in standard form I would leave it standing but those little doubts are creeping into my mind!!

If it was standard and you have 300 bhp what do you expect the latest evo model only had 215 bhp from the factory but had 270 foot lbs of torque which the scoob doesn't
Also bear in mind that the speedo is probably in kph so you are looking at 240 kph to get 150 mph.
And the speedos are mechanial not electrical (luckily ) in 'grales

I think there are quite a few chipped Grales out there which generally produce around 260BHP, mine was and as a comparison it made it slightly quicker than a standard classic shape Scoob, but certainly not 150mph in half a mile sort of performance. If you want to get alot more power from a Grale you need to be OK for spending alot of money not only on the engine but uprating everything else to cope, things such as clutches often need replacing with the standard engine never mind one with big power.
As Paul said the standard EVO2 only comes with 215BHP and also a smaller turbo, and although the Martini is one of many limited Ltd edition Evo2's there were no engine modifications, just interior differences and Martini stripes.
I do know of a couple of 300+ Grales and are said to be seriously quick but 150mph in half a mile still sounds a bit optimistic.
Cheers, Stuart

Thanks for setting the mind at ease! The owner did say it knocks spots off his GTiR that he previously had and I know it hit 163mph indicated on the speedo.
I can't see him down-grading but looks like there's only one way to find out...........
I hereby publically lay down the challenge for the owner to to race me down the 1/4 mile!
***Steve takes off his glove, swipes at the owners face with a swift backhand and spits on the ground***
Bring it on.

I've owned a modded Evo1 for three years. The big turbo can go to 270bhp easily, but 300+ calls for a LOT of money thrown at uprated headbolts, gaskets repositioning of intercooler etc.
Also, if it's an Evo2, it's only got a tiddly non-homologation turbo, which won't go above 250hp no matter what you do.
Plus, trust me, with the aerodynamics of a brick it's very hard to get above 150mph.

...I should add that I know of 2 genuine 300hp Grales (Huggy and Chudds), both of which regularly shred allcomers at trackdays, including the Mitsi owners club at their own trackday!
And I've never had a Scoob come past me on the track (I've seen 2 throw rods, though...)
