I expect the thing goes like **** off a stick but the torque steer and traction must be awful, it was bad enough in my mk2 16v gte

I prefer the look of the MkI, very clean, looks nice. Wouldn't want to part with £3k for it though.

It must be the brand new badge up front that is giving him downforce to "outrun a new scooby" (cough cough) b***cks

Red face

Well once it has traction id say it would out run most impreza's (including those rated at 300bhp) due to it being about 500kg lighter and a better power to weight ratio.

looks pretty good to me. Very understated and if it has got the claimed 250 BHP then I'm sure it wouldnt have too much trouble outrunning my car from a rolling start.

Good to see it's got foglamps on, no doubt they automatically light up on dipped beam!

Probably pretty quick mid range, traction must be a big problem from a standing start, in the wet etc.

Yes traction vauxhalls achilles heel would be quick but scarry

I for one would not want to be in it chasing a scoob

my last car was a mk4 astra running 380bhp , it was a death trap in the wet , and not to clever in the dry but i did waste some scoobys in the dry and not just sports.
only on strights as bends were intresting at speed .

£3000 is a bit steep for that £300 may be ?

SCOOBIES AREN'T THAT FAST FFS. And what does downforce have to do with outrunning anything?

It isn't riviera blue either - riviera isn't metallic, it's a very bright sky blue colour. Then again it claims to be BMW Estoril blue...

If it's been done right and the shell is sound then I think it's worth the £3k, personally. It would be better if it was an original colour like red or black though.
