Talking

Coming home tonight from work with me old man in the car. Tootling along the M1 in lane one just b4 junction 10 turn off. Look in mirror and this idiot an inch from my bumper, im doing just over 70. Hes 4 up then swings out into lane 2 to try and overtake me and get in front for the junction 10 turn off northbound. He doesnt have enough power and runs out of room whereby he swings behind me again an inch from my rear bumper.

Up to first set of lights he floors it, i didnt bother cause the next set was red and theres no point! At this point my dad sitting next to me said "u going to let him do that?"

So at the lights,2 lanes, he sitting there revving his engine. (On the way up to the lights i see the boot badge, a 318 )

Lights change and had an awesome take off. As i passed him to the bend i looked over and gave him a big wink. Anyone who knows the corner im on about knows its great for a full speed assault, easily 100 out of the bend, and a nice bit of dual carriageway up to the roundabout, i love these big brakes!. Goodbye bmw boy. Well it made me smile I hope mr tailgate was suitably ashamed Shame it werent an M

Think me old man was a bit shocked, he didnt say much on the way home lol

Yesterday must have been national tailgate day. Had 3 different pillocks at it just on roads around town where you can't have much speed anyway. Needless to say my speed dropped gradually and continuously once they started their tricks. What fun

Unhappy

"Tail Gaiting" is a far more serious road danger than speeding. One day even the powers that be will come to realise this..... mark my words ...... trouble is, by that time fossil fuels will be exhausted.

Great Britain .... as always, great at getting it wrong ......

trouble is people in bms and mercs have reactive driving rather than interactive. like your style, looking ahead seeing its a red and not bothering to race up to them.long live the scooby!!!

Is that the results to a psycological experiment ?? -

BMW/Merc - Reactive cause this 1 driver roared up to a red light
Scooby - Interactive cause this 1 Scooby driver seen the red light so just drove up slowly....

Come on, a car does NOT influence the psyche of a person and how they drive.... If that was the case then why arent ALL Scooby owners driving around with their heads up their ***** ??

BTW, this is the general "view" by some ppl of Scooby drivers just like BMW drivers are all arrogant tvvats

lmao.....says who? why? how?

a certain person is more likley to buy a bm/merc but i dont think their levels of anticipation/reaction are able to be judged with one sweeping statement.....oh, i forgot...its SN!

Cool

There's no smoke without fire, and drivers of certain types of cars have built reputations for which the other owners suffer.

Hence Scooby = "head-up-****" syndrome

Surprised they can see where they are going with their head firmly wedged down there

Just wondering what makes it's ok for scooby owners to drive like loons, and no-one else? AND before you say, scooby owners do drive like loons, otherwise you wouldn't have bought a scooby!

Cool

I have been working hard on my BMW driver yawn. I think I have it perfected now. When people give me the tosser sign as I get them out of my BMW lane on every road I yawn at them and it seems to do the trick.

The type of car I've driven has an effect on how I drive. Being a previous BMW driver myself, I rarely use full or even 3/4 throttle anymore, unlike in my old Cavalier SRi and Rover 214i.

Sometimes, a car can *feel* slower than it actually *is*.
