Get some 2-Pot APs (as fitted to Austin Princesses, I kid you not). They're a straight swap.

Does anyone know any breakers that still have 3 litre capris in? I need another set of calipers for my mark2 3.0s because they are seized solid

Thanks

Granadas have old 2 pots. Not sure what A Capri has. But, Im also pretty sure that if the diameter of the disc is the same etc, then it shouldnt be too hard to get some more modern Ford brakes to fit. Bolt patterns should be the same.

I don't remember either - I just remember a friend replacing the calipers on his Capri last year... I'll ask him next time I speak to him.

Cool

Knowing frord they will be the same as those fitted to the grandad & the MkIII Crapi. But as David says, why don't you take this opportunity to fit some REAL brakes, ones that might actually stop the car in the same time zone

Try:

Neville 0191 377 1718
Martin 01507 343148
MWR Capri's 01283 534784
Mark 01704 549 644

Dealt with them all in my 2.8i restoration, all recommended.

Would consider 2.8i vented disc caliper upgrade (even these are merely adequate) or Princess 4 pots.

Hi All

Thanks for the replies I will try those numbers.

The brakes are two pots on it so I guess they are the same. Might go up the scrappies this afternoon

To fit princess calipers that are 4 pots you have to change the brake lines I think because they have 2 fluid inputs on the princess ones

For the princess 4 pots you just make up a short bit of pipe to go between the bleed nipple and where the other pipe goes in Your only problem is if you have vented discs cos the caliper isn't wide enough BUT! the Capri Club do a spacer kit

Our kid put some on his....actually I put them on his! He said it was a big improvement

Bob

The discs are solid on that one but I want to get it back to and keep it standard How would you bleed the brakes if you did that anyway?
