Well even though its ready to go I can't get it registered until Aug 01, but I've been to see her
Utterly immaculate, like its just come from the factory, interior/ paint etc - superb Got parking sensors and a turbo timer I didn't know about so thats a bonus, its also been de-cat'd so it'll be a bit quicker than the one I drove Gotta check for boost spikes though.....
Has a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge HKS Super Drager fitted, nice and loud Here's the pics I took - going to be a long month

Chosen - aside from whats on there already (eg bumper, wheels, Super Drager, turbo timer) not at the moment! Maybe a few bits like a Blitz or HKS dump valve, perhaps induction and uprated brake pads(first thing! as the jap spec brakes aren't wonderful) Although knowing me I'll get the bug and FMIC etc.... LOL!!
Hi Jennie - I'm sure we can arrange a drive when I get her! I know you are used to RWD with the MX, just remember this is nearly 3 times as powerful!!!
Cosworth - just off to see what I can dig up mate!

Thanks guys Only 30 days to go
Scott - nope, as discussed, by the time they've added the bits for the SVA and removed the exhaust (its too loud to pass ) and added the CAT back and got it booked in and done somewhere its not likely to be much quicker.
As for the mods - yep, well pleased, theres a good few k's worth on there - and you can talk about the neighbourhood ya flipping Hiper'd up peacebreaker
mkyboy - nope, no stickers to be plastered over it
Cheers Chris - LOL @ surf shack - it actually looks quite good in the flesh, but I'll have to see and gauge opinion
Cheers Paul Yeah, the jap pics weren't great, was glad to have a chance to get some more decent ones!
Dunk - in all honesty mate, I'm buying from a dealer who has done all the importing themselves so I couldn't tell you that much, but if you've got any queries I'm happy to answer them if I can, email is in my profile

Hi Dan,
Its a July 93 car, but the DVLA are being funny and only letting it be reg'd after the end of the month as then the car is defo over 10 years old and doesn't require SVA. Its only done 32k miles though
Cosworth - The J-Spec Imports run ceramic turbo's opposed to the steel ones the UK's do. When the CAT's are removed it causes boost spike with these turbo's as they can spool up too quickly, so I may need to put a small restrictor in the exhaust to just give a bit more back pressure and stop the spikes - of course, it may already have been done........ Its a well documented feature of the import supra.
Johnny - understatement of the year mate!

The pictures you put up a few days ago showed the roof removed. On these it looks like the roof is a single piece. Can it be carried on board or do you have to leave it behind. I've only been in a UK one and I don't remember there being that much room in the back.
V. jealous BTW. Always had a soft spot for these.
Cheers
Steve.

LOL @ J4cko - no its not luckily
Steve - yeah the roof is a whole solid metal section just like a hard top. There is a slot in the boot that it goes in so you don't have to leave it behind.

Really? I never read anywhere about boost spike with de-catted J-Supras. If you have a few links, let me know.

Mate, that looks
It's a pain in the backside about the SVA, and I take it your chat with the importers wasn't much success then.
As for the mods, you've got to be happy with them, and that exhaust, well, I'm glad you've left the neighbourhood!!
I think Dan was refering to this bit :-

So
Those pics are so much better than the previous ones, and yet they don't do it justice!!
Even the Supra stickers down the side look ok!
God, I can't wait!
You lucky, luckt b@st@rd! It really is what I'd like in a car: powerful, RWD, toys galore, and an auto box!

Cheers Iain - glad you liked (BTW - Iain came with me last night to look at it!)
Tell Chris
Lucky - well I guess kind of, as getting to this point wasn't all fun, but this should help make up for it LOL @ what you'd want, you know what to do then, opt out of the leased car and get a supe

Chris, he bribed me with the offer of a drive! So I ummed and ahhhed and thought I might as well!!
Having just had a brief spin in Paul Palmer's Integrale I have a new plan! Supra as day to day car, and the Grale as a toy! (The only possible hitch I see is persuading Jennie that we sell her Mx5 and don't buy the house. But I'm sure she'll do as I say. Ahem.)
Sorry to hijack your thread, Neil, but that Grale is so mad that it's .

CAT will be going back on for the MOT Paul - its still in the car
And then coming off again
Although as its a 93 car and an import depends on the MOT station, you can get away with it at some as its dodgy as to whether they must have a CAT or not..........
