Any cunning plans/recommendations i'm just looking at what i'm going to get between selling my current scoob & next motor So ideally only looking to spend a few hundred & not loose much over 1 month or more. Not really bothered about performance as it will make next motor seem real quick then lol. Dont suppose there's much in it with old beasties but it's be nice to avoid a lemon

I've got a Citroen ZX Volcane (2.0i 8v) that I want to get rid of - gimme a mail if you want details or pics. Only want about £400 for it, will easily last for a few months and still induces a few smiles!

There's a lot of cars that will be reliable that you can get for £500 -- Volvo 440 / 460s are good 'cos they're usually run by old duffers, sorry, conscientous owners .... then there's:
G/H/J/K-plate Honda Ballade / Civic / Accord
Similar age Rover 214 / 216
Early Clios seem to last well

P1 -- forgot about the Grandad -- I remember getting a minicab which was an F-reg "new shape" Granada, 2 litre auto IIRC. It had done 340,000 miles on original engine & gearbox ... was a bit saggy but nothing new Kwik-Fit special shocks wouldn't cure ...

hmm may do the grandscooby_si impression & go with the grandada as it is also bleeding massive which will test the ability of me to get a huge car in garage (it's a bit of a mission) & thus may limit my options on next beast

yeah i had a 205 XS before the scoob, great car & while i wood happily own one again in such a situation the big car thing is quite tempting as i say i may have garage issues so nice to test with a piece of shyte first
