Had a look in Autocar but no date listed I'm afraid. Probably late 2004/2005 so it's a while off yet!

Im looking at getting one now and 2nd hand prices arent exactly steep anyway. My mate just got a 1.6 LX 52 reg, 4k miles, air con, alloys etc for £7k private.

Talking of Focus's, anyone know much about the tdci engines - up with the VAG lot or something to steer clear of?

Got the 115 TDCi Ghia and other than not being desperatly fast off the line the car is great. I do 80 miles of dual carriage way a day and get 50-55mpg. It has a lot of torque so very rarely comes out of 5th even when traffic speeds drop.
