Thumbs up

As its been posted on all other forums i thought i best tell you.

0-60 in 2.89s

0-100 in 6.06s

Quarter in 10.66 @ 136.95mph

194.7mph!

And that was at only 1.8bar boost and on Continental Rainsport Tyres! (ie not mad cut slicks like everyone else runs lately, etc)

Everyones making big deal about top speed, but 10.6 quarter and 6 seconds to 100 does it for me!

Looks to be a good 200+ if bruntingthorpe was a little longer, or when he runs FULL boost (only 1.8bar today)

Oh sorry, thought everyone would know.

Was an ESCORT COSWORTH

And not full boost (can be upto 2.4bar) as its still testing really, this is first time ever gave it loads. Only other time was used in anger was to kill everything at japfest, and that was at only 23psi!
They raided boost a little on last run, it was REALLY flying, but it popped a boost hose off so they gave up for that day.

I predict 200+mph on the 27th of this month.

Cars are getting crazy these days, and i love it, lol

100 in 6 secs :O that'd **** me up big time.

how does that compare to an F1 car? surely not far off, and if he had slicks on would've been 5 secs! No!

After seeing those times with more to come, I don't know about you lot, but I so can't wait to see this car go up against ND Evo at TOTB2, I will be spectating there.

I can't see either of them being as fast as the Project X Skyline over the 1/4, bearing in mind, on what I've heard, the Skyline was built specifically as a road legal drag car and already proven, but other two will also be in with a chance on the handling (and top speed) stakes.

Having said that they won't be to far off on the 1/4 with those times, Awesome. I'd rather see these two rally special rep 4 pots to do well. How much faster can they go?!!!Epsecially when Martins Cossie isn't running decent tyres or full boost yet, and Si's Evo currently going through a rebuild (after a journo mishap) with more power in mind and further testing.

Both awesome, who ever pips the other when they finally go head to head in all areas in something to look forward two, but it will be great to watch.

Steven- There HAD to be one **** didnt there... You say it like a scooby is some prestige supercar or somthing... where in fact it no different from an escort cosworth of similar age, std for std...

nisr227- Project X has run 9s in Japan (alledgedly! lol) but its not shown any indication of its performance over here yet, and standing start times are a LOT about driver skill, and if they dont get a LOT of runs under thier belt for practice, i dont think theyl win. And its had a rebiuld and stuff since came here, no saying its gona be as good as it used to be. And the tyres, must be road legals. There soooooo many variables in things like this. The more i DONT see a time from Project X, the less faith i have in it to kick ***.
Id be more worried about Andy Barnes R34, which has done an 11.1 when only running low boost.

Bit harsh blaming the journo for causing it? surely it was also down to the way the car was setup?

Steve, how much money has Martin ploughed into his car to get it that ridiculously fast? I know that it is his company and all that, so I wouldn't like to imagine what it would cost Joe Bloggs to get same spec!

i would still pass him in a sport LOL

That sounds awesome performance for a road car. How does that compare with Gareth Lloyds Escort Cosworth which was the fastest at TOTB last year on the handling track and very fast on the 500M run.

What are the records for a UK 1/4 mile car ( i.e normal ish car )

I have a video clip here of an Audi S1 doing a digital recorded 0-60 in 2.45secs and the 1/4 mile in around 10.60 ( or 10.06 can't remember right now )

Id like to know the 1/4mile records for a smallish capacity road legal car in the UK (WITHOUT TUBBED ARCHES, as thas drag racing, not for road).

You right about the audis, its the Dialynx short sport replicas, there 2 of em, both silver, and im sure one of em did a 10.0quarter last year at a VeeDub day...
