Cheers

Question

Thats a big question and really depends how much you are spending.
Are you talking the new model at £20k+ or 1995 trade stuff at £2k?

Hi Jim,

I am flogging my 1.9Tdi T reg A4 Avant. Not had it 12 months and won't be having another one. Car is fine Audi garages and customer service poor IMHO.

I've a W plate A4 1.9tdi Avant (went from an integra type -r to this plus a race car...)

As a "drivers car" forget it, heavy, no steering feel, etc, etc. As a day to day car, running up to scotland, pulling a race car on a trailer and so on, it's great. 50 mpg, loads of torque, very very comfy. I've had zero problems in 20,000 miles, the audi dealers (in my experience) are very very good - on time, explain stuff, always have coffee and courtesy cars.

It works for me.... but i've got a fun car and a 'bike to go with it

Looking at the current model, saloon. Currently on a Civic Type R so I'm expecting a bit of a contrast! Basically getting a little weary of a noisey, expensive to insure car that makes me drive it far too fast! Fancy slowing down in a reliable, solid, comfy saloon. (No, I dont smoke a pipe and wear slippers!). More interested in a 1.8T petrol as feel it will be not quite as big a shock performance wise.......

Cool

If your looking at a new one, they've just released the 190hp 1.8T model. Should be pretty nippy and even better with a chip.

Big Jim

A very nice car but save a fortune and buy a Skoda with the same mechanics.

My current 4x4 (remapped to 220bhp) is more fun to drive than both my 1997 and new yr2000 (£26k) A4 quattro's were. Seriously.

Great cars in my experience, not as involving as a Subaru (or a CTR am guessing) but still good cars, 190bhp 1.8T is great, fantastic interior and exterior quality - refined, well built.
Sport option is the way to go - less body roll etc but most of all looks best!

Red or black look the best in my opinion.

Edited because I can't spell!

Get a new 130TDi then a remap and take it to 184bhp and 315lb/ft... Shouldn't be such a shock for you!!

The 1.8T can be chipped to 225bhp apparently, but I would go for the Diesel myself...

Cheers,
Grant

Edited to correct poor spelling!!
