Well I've sold my Clio 172, bought a cheap Peugeot 306 and am now thinking of my next car. An euro import MY03 WRX was the obvious choice, but a friend got me thinking of a Porsche Boxster.

There's no way i could afford a UK car, but in Germany the market is very kilometre sensitive and he reckons i can pick up a very nice, well maintained car for about £15k. Mileage wouldn't be mega, perhaps 70k roughly?

Anyone else done this before? Would they recommend it?

Im on my second Boxster and love it.
In a perfect world make sure if you go for the S its got 18" wheels on it
Driving an S on 17" is like driving on ICE IMHO

Great cars, watch out for servicing costs !!!

A company named Cool It does a Boxster (and 996) left-to-right hand drive conversion, costs between 3500 and 4500 quid.

Here's one I spotted, it's actually not high mileage at all, only downside is no air con, which must be why is so cheap.

That works out to be a little over £16k at todays exchange rate (without the VAT, which you don't need to pay). Not bad for a 99 plate car with just over 40k miles.
