Pug 206 GTI 180?
#1
So what do we know about this? What are we expecting, better than 172? (yes I've seen EVO this month)
Think its a damn sexy looking car, strange really as Pugs never do it for me usually!
Also do we have any news on a POLO GTI? Think the 1.8T would good, with two different tunes 150hp and 225hp???

Why not go to www.peugeotsportclub.com and there is a load of info about it.
Personally I love the look of it and for the price it's a damn good buy too, but I've read several reviews and they all say the same thing... it's good, but not great!
I'm a Pug man (had 106 GTi, got 306 Rallye) and I've been holding out to see what they were gonna be like, but I think I am gonna be getting a Clio Cup very soon.

Why does it have to 200bhp to be a good car?
Just because the "figures" aren't up there with the current batch of hot hatches does that make it any less of a car?
So called "car" magazines have a lot to answer for.

Its a car to be considered, bit harsh comparing it against a 172 cup, a stripped out hot-hatch. Can't recall the Evo article dissing the 180 either, except to say its not as 'alive' as a cup. How many cars are?
As much as I like (driven) the Cup, its missing far too many comfort items (abs/leather/climate control/etc) for me, especially as I can only afford to run one car.
The 180 ain't exactly slow either, going by Peugeot's typically conservative figures...

The only place i found my previous 206 gti (136bhp) lacking was on the motorway, handling and pace on the B roads (where it matters) was up there with the best of them
