Still deciding what to get and todays car of the moment is the Lexus GS300, they can be had for 6 grand or less, any good ?
Golf is back on the road after my superb wing replacement and painting so panic off as I dont have to drive a Corsa Auto anymore, Golf felt mad fast after that, fast enough for me to go off the lights against as Triumph 955, good fun but guess who won !

Dull, compared to what, I have my Golf for fun and fancy something quiet, quick and wafty for the trip to work, excitement isnt an option in the morning on the M56 (Watching a bloke with the reg H4LL L speed past in hios M3 on the hard shoulder), want aircon comfort and minimal problems and Lexus always seem to do well for the not breaking down thing !

Dull as in slow... reliable as ****.
Now if you were to say 'Vertex 300' same shape but with the Supra Twin-turbo motor in a Chassis/Monocoque that can take all it can give then you are talking...
Import one.
The 5 speed auto suits the Sequential system better than the 4 speed auto of the Soop and is much quicker than any Soop of equal power... driven one and was knocked out by its dynamics... too good for this Country... shame!

My oldman has had two of them. He's had one of previous model and one of the current shape ones. Absolutely loves them. Never had any bother with them.
He is selling current one. T reg, 45k miles (ish not sure exactly), one owner, full lex service history. It is silver with black leather. Excellent condition and certain not thrashed. He just tootles along everywhere. If you're interested let me know.

Err, the Aristo V300 has the same 4-speed auto as the Supra.
The brakes on the Aristo are really weak tho, but can be swapped for Supra items easily.
Shame that the next Aristo may not use that engine again.

I used to drive a 00 lexus gs300 se as a company car and must say its a brilliant car....so refined and has every option under the sun.......what does it for me was the eletrical self-adjusting steering wheel......once you pop in the key the s/wheel moves in to
the position you set it at.

Mycroft, dont want a Soarer though !, with regards to the T reg, I think it may be out of my current price range.
Was in the Isle of Man for the TT yesterday, saw a Soarer parked up in Douglas, asked the Lads their opion, F*ckin Orrible was the consensus, they are all bikers so are biased but I got the message !
GS 300 is not trying to be anything other than a big comfy barge that will waft me to work with 210 bhp which is plenty for rush hour traffic, fun duties will be taken care of by my lovely old Golf, I will be able to go a little more extreme with it seeing as I wont use it everyday.

Hi Guys
I had a Jap Toyota Aristo Vertex V300 (GS300) with the twin turbo engine and 10inch twin exhausts at the back.
Had it on the dyno at 360Bhp !
Crap handling though, even with it lowered etc.
Very quick in a stright line (as long as you can get traction)
