i thought the 300 in uk300 meant 300bhp lol
hades, its an escort, big valve head, big intercooler, big turbo (for an rst), 260bhp and 258lb/ft on rollers with 70c+ act's, prob more like 280 on road where it never makes more than 45c act. made 13.5s at 107.5mph, the scoob was 14.1 at 94. the scoob was modified (dont know how much), defo had a gay bov and an aftermarket exhaust of some sort.

UK300 - stock is 215bhp, 215lbft. Many came with PPP, more like 250bhp. Can be tuned to 300, though I have no idea which spec this particular one was running?
Assuming from your statement 260bhp from an old design 1600 turbo is good going; and should produce a healthy power to weight. Save me downloading as I don't have broadband - was it Fiesta or Escort, what time did it set, and how much work required to get 260bhp?

ok with ppp or anything......
Should be Fun, 500bhp GRP 4 escort Slightly Modified against a ppp scoob.
PS, Tims car is standard apart from engine, so the fact he beat a 4x4 with 15 years of technology in the drivetrain and stuff is very coool IMHO

That's an impressive time, especially for FWD. Nice spec giving very good power & torque, especially from a 1.6 8V of that age.
Have to admit to a certain amusement value to having an escort that would shame a Boxster and at least give non-turbo 911s a fair run (which to me must be more fun than beating scoobs). Nice one.

For a fwd is it me or did he get one hell of a pukka start.Considering the power going through the front there was minimal wheelspin !! Could have taken off in 2nd I suppose.
Still good clip & both drivers got off the line well!!!!

Silver:scooby, do you not think its interesting ?
I personally think scoobs are very hard to beat over the 1/4 mile, they don't post good terminals but good times Usually.
The last RST we did did a 14.01 @ 113mph, with 240bhp....so imagine that against a scoob (simular power wise) in 3rd gear up the dual carraige way it would be bye bye bye
I personally don't care cause 500bhp in a bean tin is proper quick
