Yep, we build race prepared driveshafts, for BMW, PRODRIVE, FORD, etc...

I'll email you offline if you give me your address (not in your profile)

I'll see what we can do!

We recon turbo's too - fully re-engineered / re-balanced, ISO QA'd, etc... You'll cry when you see how much £ we could've saved you on a new turbo!

perhaps i may have too much torque?

was at Pod yesterday, and raced the freak for the first time ever

my first run was a quite good 13.9 but then there was a delay due to a bike crash and the day just kept getting warmer...
i kept getting slower - 14.1, 14.2, 14.3 etc until finally on the very last run at about 17:20pm...

people in the crowd came up to me and said that it launched itself really well off the line, and yes, in the ka, it felt strong, right up until i changed gear and she ripped the drive shaft in two!

oh well...

does anybody know where i could possibly get some drive shafts made up?
maybe using tool grade steel or something better??

they are fiesta turbo ones at the moment, would there be some competition spec ones???

all help greatly appreciated!!

oh, and water injection works...i was beating a cossie until they used the water injection, then they beat me by a full second at least!

May be worth checking with a few of the suppliers advertisng on here as they do do bits for non scoobs as well or the usual suppliers as advertised in Max Power, Autosport or compotition type mags for uprated bits, good job it was a shaft and not the g/box.

Good luck!

yeah, cheers man!

i think that the slip helped there?!?

with it losing drive to the off side then that should have cut drive to the near...?

does that sound right anyone?
obviously i will be replacing the lot!

", it felt strong, right up until i changed gear and she ripped the drive shaft in two!"
Seem to remember making this point some time ago, to finish first, first you got to finish.

the ka gearbox is quite strong, the beauty about the conversion is there are only 3 mounts, 2 on the gearbox and 1 on the engine, as the gearbox will fit both the 1600CVH and the Zetec you only have to manufacture 1 engine mount to get the lump in and you dont have to worry about the gear linkage etc.

yes, paul mate, you post away!

criticism helps me to make it better!

*editted after phone calls*

rang Barry Virgo but he isn't in today

also rang the garage and they are a bit annoyed with themselves as they thought they had fitted some super dooper hollow drive shafts to the ka

all i need to do is to strip the bits and send them up, they then can identify exactly what shafts were in and then use better ones

hmmm...strip the driveshaft and cv joints...modding a ka is a serious learning curve!!!!
