What are you people doing driving Clios?

13 seconds is ok, that's what an Evo or an M5 need in standard form.

12 and below would be fast.

TVR Gary

your TVR is RWD... you should be running at least 13.3/4/5/6/7 on normal road tyres...

if your TVR was 4wd you would be in the low 12's pice of pish

My RWD 3dr runs very low 13's infact flat 13's 13.03/13.05 @ 109 mph the pod with standard road tyres (F1's)

it's hard to beat 4wd cars with the same power because they grip and their first 60 ft is very good .... i have seen Martin Hadland 4wd 3dr cossie (converted) with 330bhp run a 12.3 1/4 many years ago @ the pod tho..

Nice cars TVR's

I will be in the 12's soon all i will have todo is soften the suspension.... as i run Bilstein Magnesium coliovers gravel settings which are no good for 1/4 but good for track use tho

my car is faster than alot of 4wd's you know RWD rules all the way

Ran a 15.1 at York over Easter in my basically standard 306 Rallye...

Not bad for my first go either!

Going back again at the end of May to try and improve on that.

The best i got was a 12.8 ,12.9, 13.1 1/4 mile at the pod last month.

Saff cos 4x4, 330 bhp.I launched it good though to get that,60 ft in 1.7 secs!.
That was my first go at it too! Thats the difference with a 4x4.

Dave.

Mycroft

I run 235's thats the most a can get under the standard arch without modding it ....even when launching a rwd cossie the rear beam cambers.. it's not like a soild axel where you get full width of the tyre to grip... with these rear beams you only get then inner part of the tyre that grips untill your moving a bit

Kevin

you like my driving styleeeeeeeee big flames ,sideways every where is the best pmsl just hope i don't get caught on camara pmsl.... even you know ,you have to drive a RWD you know , they don't drive themselves do they

Moses

since when you get these times i would have heard about these times if so fooking fair play to ya

the norris evo ran a 10.99 @ the pod with road legal slicks

thats was impressive i think he might even beat a few of the Big powered Skylines @ ten of the best 2

cheers marco

Mycroft

sorry i read your post wrong i ran 17's with 235's on the back F1's (they are crap) i rate Brigestone S02's one of the best(all round) road tyres you can put on any car
So3's are **** to much tread missing from them not enough rubber

As do I...

Recently swapped from S-02's to Toyo Proxes and although the Toyo's are a great tyre, the Bridgestones were superior, particularly in the wet.

Shame they are so soft and not exactly cheap, oh and you can't get them anymore!

Well I posted a 16.2 second 1/4 mile in my standard MY00 2.0 Mondeo a year or so ago... Was fun, I even beat a Mk1 V6 Mondeo, which was nice!!

That same day I raced a GTi-R (was the last race so I thought "Why Not") he beat me by a good 4 seconds... Was a laugh, I was getting out of 1st gear and he was nearly a 1/3 down the strip!!

Cheers,
Grant
