I've got one....(Assuming your talking about the 2.7 V6 Bi Turbo 98-2000 rather than the 2.2 5 Cylinder Turbo based on the old A6
How cheap is cheap ?

I agree - straight is the critical word.
Glasses Guide is booking a 99V with 41k at £13-14850 so (ignoring Audi main agent mark up) if RallyCol has trade contacts £15k seems about right. Audi dealers will certainly be asking nearer £20k.
How's the 315bhp remap going by the way? I have to say that Audi/VAG engines do seem to 'absorb' remaps very well. I've just had the Skoda 4x4 (dogmobile) remapped to 225bhp and it still feels totally unstressed and within tolerances. My A4TDiQ's were the same, but the Impreza always felt to be 'near the limit' when it was remapped.

I recently paid £20k for a 2000 V S4 Avant, with 30K miles, from an Audi dealer.
Is it a saloon or an Avant (estate)? Avants seem to be worth about £1k more.
cheers,
Andy

Confession time... I liked the RS4 I drove couple of times... don't stone me... I thought it a good honest piece of kit... never driven an S4 but I was told that it is less agressive and has great midrange and slightly nicer for it... don't slag me off Claud... I liked it!

If the standard S4 is slow, then a standard UK Impreza Turbo must be really slow, because I have changed from an Impreza to an S4, and the S4 is marginally quicker in most situations than the Impreza.
However, it is also more refined, and you sometimes don't realise how fast you are going. It is also heavier, and the suspension is a bit softer, giving the feeling of being less 'chuckable' than the scooby.
But it's definitely not slow!

"S4 vs VR6 nothing in it" now you do surprise me, everyday of the week the a standard S4 would eat a standard VR6 for brekkie.
"Old Man" think the word you are looking for is sophisticated

why the **** does no one on this friggin site accept the fact that my VR6 Corrado will at the very least keep up with most stuff including RS4's M3's etc.....????!!!!!
I have level pegged it against an S4 estate no problems The standard s4 is 275brake mine is 190 but lighter and more nimble

Well your brother needs to put his foot down a bit......Even a standard S4 could not be descibed as slow (265BHP)
As for whether a 265 bhp car is slow, I would imagine that that depends a lot on how much it weighs, what sort of gear ratios it has etc. But of course, there are slower cars, quite a lot actually! What I am saying is that when I am used to my Evo or even the scooby and get into the S4, it really feels like I am standing, and I find myself looking in the rear view mirror far more often than usual, no joke!

I know what he means though - 'deceptive' would be a far better word than slow.

As for a standard Impreza being slow... Slow isnt really the right word, but it isnt like you drive it and think "wow, that's a fast car"; you think it's good and has potential. Right?
