The lacquer around the window washers on the bonnet has started to peel. It started a couple of months ago and was hardly noticeable, but suddenly has grown to the width of a tennis ball. It looks horrible.

How can I repair this? Dont really want to go to a paint sprayer. Could i buy some clear lacquer and spray over the top?

Cheers

Could i use this http://www.halfords.com/shop/item.asp?cat=5&sub=162&id=391151

As far as i know there is not alot you can do if you want the paintwork perfect! i.e cant just re laquer the bit thats peeling! Try asking a paintshop, they will give you the options

cheapest way would be to
sand down the laquer with a fine grade of wet and dry to remove the lip,
then spray with clear laquer,
then compound the laquer with fareclar g4 or similar.

it just may work
