Picked it up yesterday....my scoob felt quick but good god! this is proper fast! a feeling helped by having the roof in the boot and being sat 3 inches of the road.......and that noise!

Watch out, I recently heard all TVRs suffer from a common fault, that of hedges entering the car via the back screen

Enjoy, especially with all the good weather about at the mo

its a chimeria 450. sounds like nothing else! as for handling....it feels no more skitish than an elise or similar (any light weight high pwr car) as long as you take in nice round the corners there plenty of welly to catch up on the straights!

and its nice to have a car that will kick you in the back in 5th gear at 80mph! in fact 5th gear is like an auto- it pulls from 25mph onwards!

T

pics soon!

you lucky, lucky b******d

enjoy it, mate

i have always liked them and thought it would have been even better with a proper hard top on it, but then, the sound of that exhaust makes up for it!!!

Ive got a tuscan s and ive never been in anything as fast, it was still accelerating at 180+ before i lost my bottle and took the foot off the pedel. If only they handled as well as scoobies then id drive it all year round - its being repaired up in blackpool at the moment

Best mate used to have one. Looks great, sounds better. Pull of the V8 was fabulous. I drove it from London up to Suffolk for a service (he bought it from the garage a few miles away from me) a couple of times and enjoyed every minute. That was all the the good bits...

Was on my drive for 2 weeks whilst he was in the states. Doors filled with water and wouldnt open. Water got into the alarm and set it off at midnight. We had to wait for the battery to die (with towels stuffed around the siren). Simple service was £500. Big services were >£1500. He eventually sold it when they told him the front wishbones needed relacing due to corrosion (it was only 3 years old).

And Compared to my MY95 scoob, (I cant remember if it was a 400 or 450 chimera now) performance was very similair. In the dry it perhaps has the edge due to the extra flexibility of the V8. As soon as the roads got anything like damp it was a very different story.

They aren't as bad as people make out reliability wise.....I used to live nr Bispham (the cars aren't from Blackpool as people like to make out) and have many friends who own them and have their servicing work carried out at the factory. They start to become unreliable like any car when neglected and old.

They also sound awesome, pull the birds easily and out accelerate many supercars for mid range exec motor money. Nice choice of car.
