Clio 172 rattling exhaust

I had my Clio serviced yesterday (24k) and a few things were picked up.
* Clutch slipping (2nd one, 1st replaced at 8k with faulty clutch plate release springs). Same problem as before.
* Front diff oil seal gone and it is leaking oil on the clutch plate, another reason for replacing the clutch.
* Oil seal on gearbox gone and its leaking oil.
It has also developed a rattling at about 4500 revs which sounds like its coming from the centre of the exhaust. Now i have read in Evo that both their 172 and 172 Cup have both had this problem, so i was wondering if anyone else has seen it on here ?

yay me too mate 
its a well known problem is the 4k Rattle mine goes in for it on friday also to get rid of the fish pond in the spare wheel well.
Its the baffle that has worked loose in the center section, if they wont replace it get a K-TEC exhaust sounds fantastic

I had the exactly the same problem @ 4000rpm. Had the center section replaced which cured it, but came back after 2 weeks. I decided to leave it and save up for an aftermarket exhaust. 6000 miles later, the problem has disappeard. No more rattles so no new exhaust yet. It seems that the exhaust just needs "bedding" in. Wished I never took it in to get it replaced as I now have a big ugly clamp holding the rear box to the center section, which might affect the flow as well.

I'm getting a strange resonance @ 4,000rpm but it seems to be coming from behind the dashboard though 
Gives a good excuse to get the k-tec exhaust fitted 
I have heard of a few people with the 4k problem with the centre section - IIRC that BobRTE chap on the ClioSport forum said that he'd found out what was causing the problem - unfortunately I can't remember what though!
