There's an Evo rolling road day reviewed at Aylesbury's G-Force Motorsport witch took place in Feb.
Simon's Evo got 714bhp @ the flywheel (543atw)
I remember watching POC's Evo 6 rip up the road from Power engineering last year, that was bloomin quick and had 350bhp @ the flywheel.. you've been warned!
Roy..

This was in the flesh at Woodbridge airfield in Suffolk last Sunday. It won the Top Speed Challenge with a 182 mph run & did a standing 1/4 mile in 11.02 at 131 mph.
This was not its full potential as a loose alternator cable was giving irregular battery voltage readings, the Motec ECU then compensated for this by overfueling by 15%.
Still not a bad run considering.

Thats the problem with these high bhp cars there is always something that needs fixing or in need of replacing/upgrading. It is very good set of figures but is the car driveable or is it just a show piece/trackday car.
Everyone now thinks that EVOs have 700bhp but you can bet a few pounds and a lot of time and effort has gone into that car.

From what I heard about the Norris car, the engine alone was something like 70k....and the other thing that confused me was the turbo, as I didn't think the turbo that it had on it would make much over about 580 bhp, so how they have got over 700 out of it is a bit of a mystery...

Why would everyone think Evos have 700bhp?? Simons is the only one I know of and the engine as far as I know has been built by JUN of Japan at a major cost. 700Bhp is just silly IMO but fair play to him. Evos IMO are fast enough as they are.
You should just sell that RA .45 superlightweight thing and buy one, it's obvious your obsessed with them. Take a look in the search, everytime an Evo is mentioned there you are Mr P.

Crypt I was refering to any bhp car. Cossies, skylines, evo and scoobs (yes there are one or two). By the nature of tuning things break. How many times have we heard "I could have been quick but I had to run low boost".
To generate the power most of these high bhp cars are very peaky and not particularly tractable, hence the question.
Anyway you are only jealous as your Evo hasnt got 700bhp .
Like I said a good set of figures and very impressive. Good one him wish I had the budget, time and effort to do it.

I heard htese rumours too about JUN building the ND Evo 7 engine.
These ARE NOT TRUE according to Simon Norris. It was built in the UK by their engine builder.

The stuff in the boot is the 60 litre fuel tank with separate 17 litre water reservoir for water injection. This feeds into two pre-filters which feed two separate fuel pumps(each capable of supply fuel up to 680bhp)From the pumps two more filters then lead the fuel through Goodridge braided lines to the engine bay. This then feeds 1000cc injectors controled by twin Sard fuel pressure regulators.
Thats some trick fueling system, looks kind of cool as well.

Sorry just got Jap Performance mag and know know the spec of the turbo tis a GT3240 and according to the HKS website they say 580 PS Output....
Now I'm a complete numptie when it comes to things like that (my mate won;t let me look at cars by myself cause he says I don't know the front from the back) so can anyone please explain to me how the turbo can create another 200bhp over what's stated on there website...
Cheers
