Did anyone else receieve an invitation in the post to put down a deposit on the 350Z on Monday?
Two versions will be available a standard one and a GT version that includes leather adjustable seats, Bose 240 watt sound system and cruise control. The standard one was about 24,500 and the GT about £26,500.
I'm quite interested in one, but i don't think I can afford one with the crappy residuals of STI Type Uk's at the moment. I was wondering how popular these are going to be, as it might be worth putting the deposit down if I could sell it at a profit in October!
Has anyone driven or seen one in the flesh, I love the rear 3/4's but I'm not crazy about the front!

Going to have to find out what the allocation is for 2003/4, if its restricted it may be worth putting the deposit down and selling it on - might even make back the money I've lost on the STi

I vaguely remember seeing a pic of this car ages ago in a mag, anybody got a pic of said motor, i forgotten what it looked like! And of course the specs

saw one at the local race track a couple of weeks ago - the guy had only imported / owned it for a week and reckoned he hadn't had chance to 'mod' it - eg take off the delimiter; hence he was getting well beaten by the big V8's he was racing against.

For the UK, apparently there will be 450 imported this year, including demonstrators and press cars - All of them will be the GT spec. A similar number will be imported next year, although customer cars not demos/press.
Service intervals will be 12months/9,000 miles.
The deposit is refundable, but the test drives won't really be available until October. There may be scope to drive the car at certain events - e.g. Goodwood.
Dealers are expecting demand to outstrip supply, as you would expect them to say...

As said - GT spec only available until 2004, and all cars will be specc'd up with the awful looking lightweight alloys, so the only car you can buy this year is nearly £28000 or so, the other lower spec versions will be waiting until into next year........

doesnt look like the car i was thinking about. If memory serves it could be a mazda im thinking of, not an atenza, a Mazda 6 MPS or rx8 or either, think this was an attempt at getting a 4 wheel drive turbo bewinged rally replica, looked really nice, sort of like a mitsu evo. And i think it was a 3 litre. All i saw was a pic in a mag, and it was not computer generated. I dont know if it made it into production. Know a lot about nothing dont i lol
