my other half is looking for a new car, she has been looking at saxo vts/vtr, MG ZR, 106 GTI, clio sport, puma

she is looking for one around the 8K mark and up to 2 years old

i have been out of the hot hatch seen for a while now and am wondering what is the best all rounder to go for as i may be driving it too

whats your thoughts guys???

The Puma 1.7 has had great reviews. I would definitely give one a test drive

I can't really tell you much more about it, other than my mate has one & thought it was great

A CLIO 172 IS UNBELIEVABLE VALUE I THINK!
Nice looking, good handling and great performance!
Second hand one's (mark 1 which look better imho) now going for around 8k.

How about a 306 gti? I used to have one and it was a hoot - lift-off oversteer heaven if you're into that sort of thing. Ate tyres like you wouldn't believe though.
