You want a pre 72 car with the 454 cu inch motor - after that all the emissions law meant that BHP had to be restricted - fell from about 390bhp for the 454 cu inch to about 190bhp for the later 70s cars with the 5.7 litre motor.

'69 is reckoned to be most desirable version of this shape.

V hard riding and not the greatest handlers.

Claremont Corvette in Kent are the experts and always have lots in stock.

That's pretty much my car in the pic. I have a black 1980 auto - converted to RHD. Great noise, great shape, great pose, no power. wilf is spot on. If you want power you need to go early model, or get a crate engine from GM. 6 or 7 grand all in will get over 350bhp.

I bought it (twice) from Tom Falconer at Claremont Corvette. I think it is fair to say that he is the Daddy on Corvettes in the UK.
