am thinking of getting a strut brace fitted to my E46 M3 convertible - I have never been to a track, but plan to start these up in the summer.

Anyone know about how much these are supposed to help the car's handling? Any idea if they make the ride worse on a day to day basis?

The one I would like to get is the AC Schnitzer one:

Sweet brace :-) They are reputed to make quite a difference on track and make next to no difference in normal road driving.

Got one on the Merc...

Made absolutely no difference whatsoever on the road or the track

Looks nice though.

Hi SKittles.

What MY is your M3 because the BMW Motorsport brace is now standard on the M3. I think it would cost about £300/400 to get one retro fitted

Guys thanks for all the helpful posts

I have a MY02, but BMW made the brace standard part way through the 2002 range. Mine was just before

The BMW one looks a little flimsy, so for a £100-£150 more I thought I would go for the ACS one
