Bee-jeesus
The first road car accident of my life - other than stuffing various old RWDs off roundabouts.
And guess what?
I reversed into this girl who was crossing the road.
Me doing 5 mph backwards
Knocked her off her feet.
She told me to sling my hook, as she was OK
I didn't see her, and she obviously didn't see me.
Unbelievable.
Lesson learnt.
Having driven for eight years, four as a lorry driver, four as a sales rep, I finally managed to nearly **** someone.

Not meaning to be a doom and gloom merchant, but make sure you make a note of everything that happened, times/location/what she said/did/etc/etc/etc.
Friend of mine a couple of years back hit someone, words were exchanged (very polite, no f*ck off) thought nothing else of it until a couple of weeks later when he got an NIP for failing to stop at an accident and failing to produce insurance documents. The guy he hit then magically developed an injury, reported it and bingo, my pal was treated like the next Kray brother.
Fortunately he had reported it to the police and the charges were dropped, although his insurance still coughed up a wedge
