I always wanted to turbocharge one
If you can read French you are almost there. This is about a Turbocharged S2:

http://www.mobile.de/cgi-bin/search.pl?CountOff=70&FormCategory=0&FormColor=%2e %2e%2ebeliebig&FormDate=0&FormDurchmesser=0&FormEZ =%2d&FormKilometer=%2d&FormLand=%2e&FormMake=34&Fo rmModel=968&FormPLZ=&FormPower=%2d&FormPrice=%2d&F ormSort=0&SearchCat=bereich%3dpkw%26sprache%3d1&be reich=pkw&sprache=1&x=0&y=0

And a certain 911Meister @ Pistonheads claims to have a reliable compressor almost ready. Output would 'just' be around 280-300 bhp IIRC.

Have fun

Ralf

edited for the French bit

Chap I know has one in Yellow - he loves it to bits - 3 litre engine. Providing they are well maintained they will last forever.. good on country roads...good on motorways.. all-rounder methinks..

Probably the finest handling hard-top car ever made, and one of the best in all. So balanced, perfect firm ride, crisp turn-in. Will beat a WRX (and just about keep with a UK STi) in a staright line but only once rolling, but add in some bends (in the dry) and it will show an advantage. Take it on track and the Scooby won't see way she went.

Strange seating position, very straight leg/sit on the floor. Never met an owner who wanted to let one go without a serious machine to go to.

I've got a mate with one in Riviera blue. It has the buckets, a half cage, air con, no sunroof and the M030 sport suspension and cross-drilled discs. He loves it but he's a polisher and it only does 500 miles a year tops. Hence I've never had a go in it.

I am a diehard scooby fan these days.

But must say the 968 was one of the bestcars I have ever driven. Thats all I can say realy. Enough said.

Best wishes

Working as a "Repo" man some years ago i got to recover and drive a large number of cars. 4 stand out, a mark 1 MR2 Supercharged, a BMW 3 series Evo (left hand drive/old shape)and 944 Turbo and a CS 968. I think the 944 was a bit quicker, but the 968 handled a little better. 968 was THE best car i driven to date!

Its a damn shame they don't do the 968 now!

968 CS is (probably) one of the best handling cars ever built.

3l lump lacks a little urge compared with the '44 Turbo but overall a excellent car.

I always wanted to turbocharge one

ADP

Those company car days are long gone...

I am currently a lorry driver on 11k a year!

However I may be returning to the bull**** world of marketing in the next few weeks. Cause I need the big money for a bit. However I would rather be driving lorries.

968...you lot have got me thinking you know. Probably the only thing I might swap the Scoob for. Out of interest how much are they these days?

Steve
