Bad luck. Why did you have to get rid of the Legacy?

One of my mates has one of them and he is getting rid of it after just a couple of months due to the bad economy (that and the fact he's tight lol) he did 65 miles to a quarter of a tank at the weekend and gets 145 miles to £50 of fuel

Get the TD5, cruises at 90 (on private stretches) , oil burning is more economical (we get around 30ish to the gallon), and does not sound like a chuffing tractor like the old TDI. The TD5 is a better alround package, not unless of course you work for OPEC and are happy to burn currency at an alarming rate.

Cheers

Hold on boys...
The Legacy was a GTB,
by the time you've combined the fact that it's a twin turbo with the fact that it's a Japanese import and therefore requires super unleaded I don't think the Disco will be that far away from it in terms of £ per mile.

At least that's what I've told the bank manager (AKA the GLW)

Cool

Doesn't that mean that a three-year-old V8 is a bargain?
Anyway they're both great cars it's just the V8 is a touch less agricultural.

Does it come with the latest 'must have' accessory for the discerning Chelsea Tractor driver?

An aerosol can of 'spray on mud'!

R,

wife before the Disco era had a V8 Range rover, it got through approx 160 squids in fuel a month on the school/work run. I doubt if a V8 is going to average anything above 15 around london and more typically nearer to 12 mpg. Surely your legacy would nearly double that ????, or did it have a leaky tank

Cheers

1 if you're getting double that you're not doing it properly
2 They're hardly cars you buy if you're having an economy drive

I guess the low-range transfer box will be useful in those traffic jams

Simple logic....
Can't go any faster without spending silly money
So go in comfort.
7 leather seats, an awesome sound system and so much power you never need to think about it.
What more could I want?
