Will Vauxhall Alloys Fit Honda??
#3
They came of a Nova GTE and my friend wants to fit them to a Honda Civic dx "m" reg, does anyone know roughly if they will fit or have an idea of offset for both makes of car??

All fwd Vauxhalls run standard ET49mm Offset because of their negative scrub set-up (minimises the chances of locking under braking)
Honda will likely run around 35-40mm offset, so the Nova rims will be at least 20mm inboard from where an equivalent wheel with correct offset would be.
It'll look silly, handle badly and generally be rubbish

I would find out what the offset of the OZ alloys are compared to what the standard Honda offset it. If the difference is more than 10mm then you'll be asking for problems in the looks and handling departments as mentioned above.
As mentioned standard FWD Vauxhall wheels are ET45-ET49. OZ wheels in my experience never came in an offset as high as this.

you should be ok m8 - FYI the oe offset on a vauxhall would be 49mm but the oz wheels would never of come with that offset, almost certain to be either 37/38mm which is acceptable on the honda. obviously you will need to make sure you use the correct nuts/bolts for the car and also you will need a replacement spigot rings (spigot ring = locating ring which sits in the back of the wheel so it will sit on the stud axle correctly) if this is not used you will experience wheel vibration at speeds. these spigot rings are available from any oz stockist.
hope this helps,
david
edited to add the offset measurement will be stamped on the back of the wheel.

All The OZ wheels that Vx use are 5 Stud so obviously wont fit. The Vectra GSi rims are again 5 stud with an ET of 42mm. Cant think of any decent looking four stud VX rims. I would suggest that you keep your offset to within 5 mm of the Honda offset tops either way otherwise you will probably scrub the inner edge of your tyres and kill the handling.

The wheels came off a Nova so will be 4 stud.
From experience with my old M reg civic and a set of Momo aftermarket wheels. Was given the Vauxhaull fitment ("no worries mate, they'll fit fine "
PCD was the same, locating rings were the same and they came with Momo Honda fit bolts to mate correctly to the wheel.
Offset (as confirmed above) was so far off they fouled the standard honda calipers - never mind handling issues.
Not impressed.
If the offset is ok, you should be able to get OZ bolts and locating rings (if required) from any OZ dealer.
