hi there peoples!
im looking to buy another car and was thinking of one of the above,
anyone got any opinons,views,run ins or experience of one?
also,how do they compare to the 93-94 wrx?(my second choice)

I drive an Evo II (pics here if you're interested: http://www.hughdepayen.net/pp/showga...user=1&thumb=1). As suggested, the Lancer Register is a good place to look; there's a particularly good buyers guide for the Evo I, II & III on there.
They're fun and quick (0-60 in a flat 5 seconds (officially)), but you really need to hunt down a good one. I looked at 3 Evo IIs (and a couple of IVs and Vs) before I found a good one, with a history (albeit in Japanese) and reasonable mileage (55,000).
Insurance is expensive (try Tett Hamilton http://www.tetthamilton.co.uk) but servicing isn't as bad as many make out - I got a full service and cam belt change for £360.
