Continuing saga of engine failure.... this morning I went to the dealership.... and I asked if I could watch the diagnostic test and talk through with the service guy the problem...
.... oh no.... it's far too dangerous back there Mrs. W....
.... next thing.... yes Mrs. W. I have had a word with the Service Manager and yes you can come and see the test and he will talk you through it all....
... well as I expected a couple of faults did show up.... and we discussed in turn what each one meant.... however, the results still had to go to Jag for their technicians to have a look....
.... so off it went to get washed....
then..... he arrives back and says.... we have checked some of the results... and it looks very much like the fault is with the cruise control and it will need a new part.....
NOW ISN'T THAT WHAT I TOLD THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE....
... thanks to those of you that gave me the inside track.... there is now one service manager who will probably pay attention the next time I call ...

Black Cat, I certainly not appreciate to be linked to Claudius. My comment referred to the title of this thread. If you're right and correct others few of them accept it. You make yourself unpopular with it. And this I know well. Tell me why this is mean against you and why do you have to refer to you being a member of SN longer than I am?

I have an Evo 6 and a Civic Type R and I live in France. I come here sometimes to create some heated debate or just annoy people a little

I live in between Nice and Monaco in a small town on the coast. It's been pretty sunny lately.

The weather is wonderful again today very sunny, like 15°C... and like an hour away, you can even ski (although I'm not too much of a fan of sliding without a car )
BTW how old are you, I mean driving a Jag and all that... below 60?

Yes I'm below 60.... we've always spent our money on nice cars preferring them to small little rug rat type persons....
Cannes to VT has always been in my recollection nearly a day's drive - you must be closer to Italy.
We have a flat in VT.... have you ever been up there for the ice races? they are usually before Christmas... always been my desire to organise a scooby event in the Alps during the summer there's some fine mountain roads.

A friend of mine makes GrN cars (the Daewoos) for ICE race (IRSI). I have to go gzet a ride some time
always been my desire to organise a scooby event in the Alps during the summer there's some fine mountain roads.
Let's have a 400 bhp plus event (like the 200 plus Club, but twice the power ) where we bring a few high powered Evos and an IRSI Daewoo (sequential gearbox!) and a few other faster cars

I mean he normally makes GrN cars but also an ice race Evo and that Daewoo thing that doesnt in fact ressemble a Daewoo with its tubular chassis and carbon fiber wings, but it says Daewoo on it. A mean machine, very rigid, very light and a very high revving engine
