Just wondered if any1 has any experiance/forts with regards the supra twin turbos I'm tempted to trade my turbo 2000 in towards the end of next year & i absolutly luv da scooby & am tempted by the joys of type R's but i was gettin a bit seduced by the huuuuuuuge power possible from the supra
OK so i no there r the short kumings of rear wheel drive but any1 had a experiance with the 2 or any other info gr8fully recieved

I had one of them silly cars 2 years ago great car!!!! .I had it for 6 months and put 2 sets of new rear tyres on it and got a 56 day speeding ban!!
Be very careful they do not handle . at low speed ie under 50 mph
Hope this helps Si..
Cheers Doc.

0-60 a Supra will have a damn hard job keeping up with a scoob - 1600 kilos and 2WD see to that.
But rolling starts, and from 60 and it, it's a totally different story - my Supra (full decat) makes nearly 200lbft @ 2000rpm, 270lbft at 3000rpm, and when the 2nd turbo wakes up at 4000rpm leaps to 375lbft at 4700rpm - and this was in 34C air temps, with awful boost drop due to a bleed valve rather than a proper boost controller, barely making 1 bar of boost, if that. On a cooler day, when I get a proper controller, and set it to a perfectly safe 1.2bar, I am fully expecting to see over 400lbft, if not more. There are few scoobs that can match that amount of sheer twisting grunt, espcially for less than £1000 of mods.

Get the Supra over the Impreza!!
they look a lot better than a 4 door family style saloon with big wings bolted onto them, and can be tuned very easily, so if thats what you're after, go for that, and even as stock, id be quite happy to give a few milliseconds away to drive something that looks nice.
Also have a much more involving driving experience, even the quicker impreza's are dull, id take an Integra Type-R for pure enjoyment and fun over one, never mind a Supra.
