Group B Car Club????

Sorry forgot the quattro!!! Doh! - Double Doh! if you've been reading my posts on the Replace your Scoobie thread!!
The Merc is a Black 1986 2.3-16v Manual at the stratospheric mileage of 85,000
I reckon it'd be really cool to get all the factory specials type cars listed above for a trackday meet next summer... Mainly cos I love E30 M3s, quattros, Cossie (both ford and merc) and 'Grales

As far as I was aware the Gp B Car Club was going to cease due to lack of members which is a real shame cos they were a top load of petrol heads....
Spoke to Peter Meaney a while ago after an event at Curborough and he didn't think that they'd be going for that much longer

Perhaps a 'Homolgation Car Club' would be a better idea as you could include a lot more of the factory special type cars
Scoobs
Lancers
Cosworths
Merc Cosworths
E30 M3s
'Grales
Keep it low key, and just do an annual trackday and meet

Dammit - That's a shame.
The guys used toorganise some great track days. But I had noticed of late that the days were being infiltrated by more and more (dare I say) mundane machinery like Scoobs/Skylines/Cossies.
I'd have thought there were enough real Group-B owning members with (obviously!) deep pockets to allow the club to continue on without any problems...?
PS - I was going to join, as in addition to my Scoob I have a TR7V8 (Homologated under Group-B, Don't ya know. ).
