Dont know the spec but the 99 is worth - say - £13k ???. Very rough as depends on mileage/condition etc etc etc
That gives you £20k which will get you into the seat of an EVO6 without question.
Warrender.co.uk often have a few EVO6's for this price
For example - from their website :
99 T Evo VI GSR
In Icel Blue, 22,000 miles, with full history, category one alarm, stage two conversion; induction, exhaust, ecu, plugs etc. stereo - a very nice car, a very very nice car .... 350 bhp ...
£19,495
Xtreme sell UK cars - these tend to be 1500 - 2000 more than Warrenders cars.
Other option is to jump onto the Lancer Forum. The cars for sale section has loads of 6's for sale - usually 1500 or so cheaper than dealer prices. These cars are run by enthusiasts so are usually well maintained & cared for.
Good hunting !!

I'd be stunned if you get £13k trade in for a MY99 against anything.
I was recently offered £14k trade in for my Evo VI against a private sale value of probably £17-18k.
You are better off to sell and then buy, you get shafted on the sale but hopefully the purchase is cheaper too.
Cheers,
Phil

Another option is to find a dealer who sells Mitsubishi and Subaru. That way you wont get offered pennies and the obligatory "I can only sell it on for rock bottom price so all I can offer is book..." comment. SGT in Taplow, Extreme in Dudley or Adams Aylesbury sell both which means the Scoob will be worth to them. Or scan all the Subaru dealers and try to find one that may have an Evo that has come in for a PX. Then haggle like hell!!!
Good luck!

theres a place in wimbledon that had a real nice standard black one.. i went to see it and it was pretty mint.. quite low miles as well with all paperwork
i think eth company is called "independent motor company" .. it was a black VI - they advertise in top marques all teh time and carry quite a few BMW's
but taht was a while back - it may have gone now
