I agree with Gary C here
This car in GTi form weighs in at 1030ish kg, now id say it will probably end up weighing in at around 1050ish kg and with 180bhp it WILL have a better power to weight that a civic type r (quickly works out p2w ratio )
Approximately 171bhp per tonne (somewhat more than a new shape WRX!) Be warned

It will likely beat a bug-eye WRX Scooby to 100mph though, just like the Clio Cup and Civic Type-R can, so NOT slow...
Basically it is another entry in that sector of the market. Gonna be £14,995 too so well priced!
More info here >>> www.206gti180.peugeot.co.uk
However, do not believe the poor 0-62 figure quoted by Peugeot on that link, as they are notorious for understated times. Look at the Peugeot figures for the 106 GTi, current 206 GTi, 306 GTi-6, etc. then look somewhere like Evo in "The Knowledge" and note the difference!
p.s. Who is dominating WRC right now?!

Current 206 GTi (upped to 156bhp in my case) Can hit 0-60 in 7.1 - 7.2, so under 7 is a cert once the engines run in.
Having said that, not too interested in 0-60's (especially when it comes to FWD cars), mid range performance should be good too.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. It needs 4WD, a turbo and about 100bhp more. A logical move considering their WRC car is winning almost everything in sight at the moment
Until that happens it's just a nippy car to go down to the shops in.

That dont look too bad imho, i like the look of the 206 gti but its not cracked up to be anything, with 180bhp and a low weight it will be a quick 2wd car.
