Just got back from the dyno with my mate with his "mad" R33 Skyline.

We still don't know exactly what its had done to it but all kit is obviously HKS , and has been carried out by HKS Tokyo.

Receipts for engine work come to over £15,000 alone!!!!!!!!

Anyway dyno showed 624bhp (478@wheels) running only 1.2bar of boost.
458lbft!!!!!!!

Nest stept is upping boost to 1.4bar, as head gasket has already been done by HKS .

MONSTER. MONSTER!!!!!!!!

Is it still running a stock bottom end? Does it have an N1 block? Is it a 2.6 or does it have a stroker kit (HKS2.8?)

Very interested to see the spec... Is it a daily driver like ronnies or setup for drag etc like the JUN car. What Turbos is it running 28/35's, Gary is running these for circa 750bhp @ at just under 1.5 bar...

Oh and any chance of a picture? Is it white - I've seen a white HKS toyko built car?

Cheers

Jon

Lowly 400bhp R33 owner!

I think I have seen this car when it was first imported,if it is the same one it has a list as long as your arm of HKS spec parts all done by HKS Tokyo.I remember it was up for around £20k at newera imports but at the time I still had the EVOVI.

Yes this is the white car, from our good friend Miguel at NewEra. We have had a number of different cars from him over the last few years. All superb.

Internal engine mods are unknown as we haven't had it in pieces yet.Thankfully

We have measured the head gasket and it is a 1.4mm item.
It has a trust anti surge sump, HKS 272 Cams, HKS Verniers, but other than these visual clues the rest of the engine is unknown.

Pink injectors, boot mounted mammoth HKS fuel pump.
Turbos are twin HKS items however models are unknown as they simply don't seem to have any markings. Although the compressor sizings seem massive compared to standard.

Intercooler is the biggest any skyline tuners have ever seen , 8-9ins in depth . Again not sure if this was HKS made as its not a size that has been seen before.

Electronics are obviously all HKS, and there is gadgets that we have never seen before either!!!!

The car is infact a road car , used every day and is quite good for every day driving.
Gearbox was recently taken apart to do the syncros and it has a modified 5th gear.
Pulls easily over 200mph (private roads ofcourse)
Not sure exactly how fast it is but a tuned and modded Yamaha R1 had to pull over and stop to ask what the f*#k it was as it got passed at 160mph in a clean drag from 30mph

624bhp at only 1.2bar is very intrigueing though. Boost is being raised to 1.4 next month so I will keep those interested posted

Question

Erm, I've got a whole load of pictures of this car somewhere then...

I spoke to miguel about buying a similar car as he sold this one just as I expressed interest! But 624bhp is awesome for 1.2bar. Does you friend post on the GTR register? I think we'd all like to hear more about the car...

The listed spec from Miguel was purely based on initial observations and documentation.

The owner doesn't belong to any of the forums. Not that much into computers really

I will take some pics over the weekend and post them on here for those interested

What that engine has had spent on it Ronnie paid just for his gearbox and I know his engine has had loads spent on it. I was once speaking to an owner and had said that I heard he had spent 35k on the car. He laughed and said it a considerable amount more than that. Its not how much power u got, its how u use it. Ronnies has the figures to prove that at the moment until someone else decides to try!

dude.
there is NO WAY you will get that horsepower on either 2510s or 30s at that boost level. FACT. FULL STOP. noone gets that power.
At 1.2 bar you would get 500 BHP max.
And there are COUNTLESS examples out there on this and mine is one for starters with similar turbos.
Ronnies car runs some 1.6 bar on a HUGE t78 to get near 670 bhp and more like 1.8 bar to get to 700.
Gart GT ART runs 2 2835 and thet are mounted on top and much bigger than those quoted. He ran 1.5 bar and got 715 BHP.

It does sound like a top motor tho but I think it would run sth like 2540s or even something like the Greeddy Trust ones.

we look forward to seeing the car tho on GTR as you are not a million miles away from me. Have you got the dyno figs as well?

Nick

As mentioned in my previous mail, we have no idea what blowers they are on the car, as we cannot find any markings on them.

All we can say is they are engraved HKS items and the size of the compressor housing is massive in comparison to a standard unit.

I am sure a more experienced Skyline enthsiast would know what they are just looking at them.

If your Thames Valley area we couls easily meet up to do some tyre kicking etc

sounds good dude and plenty of int in the car on GTR.
A bit of a dark horse I feel.
Just let me know when you would like to meet up and we can kick a few tyres.
drop me a mail: welch_nick@hotmail.com.

It sounds as if they could be 2540s as there are some skylines out there running that sort of horsepower on those tubbies.
