Are you winding people up?...and trying to knock the prices down!??for that price it must be real dog and cost 3 times as much to put right! If its not, then you need to do a bit of research, even if you don't like the car its worth far far more. Trust me, i'm a cars sales man.

Always bring a smile to my face these things, weve had a few through our books and they were auctioned for peanuts as they were imports with little or no history. One of the few cars we took for a spin whilst awaiting prep - quick yes, own one - never!!!!

At the end of the day, in my eyes its a Sunny, End of, the money could be spent far better but there is amrket for them out there!

Rare-ish car though, just every time I see one I think SUNNY!!!, and grandads etc etc

TomM...i know what you mean - seen a few locally but look at them and the thought of a sunny with a big vent/spoiler just puts me off them totally....

Until they blast off of course...!

Everyone to their own, I own and drive a Gti-R becuase IMO they are far more fun to drive than a scooby, and arguably faster. But there were many dogs out there before I found a decent version. They also require TLC just an impreza and you need to know how to modify them in the correct way otherwise it will cost you.

Don't get me wrong I like imprezas, I have sold loads of 2/3 years old fleet imprezas, I can easily get one for trade price even with a warranty and full trust worthy history for myself, but i've driven many including a friends STi, and still find my GtiR, correctly setup, more fun, especially when really pushed hard. Surprising other car users who are not in the know is half the fun, but your not going to get that with an impreza, people know about what they are and what they can do.

GtiRs do sell for nothing at auction, frankly no dealer wants to import an old car these days becuse its not going to sell .....and they are getting older all the time, and scruffy too. People got on the band wagon a few years back when grey imports were the rage, but it has lost its interest especially when they can buy a genuine UK imprezas for low figures with history, they sell better becuase people again, know what they are and what they can do.

Saying its "just a Sunny" without test driving one and using that as the basis of not showing any interest, means you will be blind to many things, including a decent raw drivers cars, which at the end of the day, is whats its all about. I could think of many other cars i'd rather buy than a GtiR or scooby if it was for the image, but its how it puts the smile on my face when driving her that does it for me at the moment.

These cars are ridiculously quick - 2.5K with some work is a damn good price. If I didnt find the right Impreza, the next car on my list was a black GTiR - a boy in SS-R has one and its a scorcher.

Both cars are pretty ugly IMO, but you dont really buy them to drive like a granny. The GTiR is more imposing in your mirror than an Impreza (just) - both do a function - put a bit smile on your face!!
