Hi & a question!
#2
Cheers for the info - Well, to be honest I find most of these garage salesman are only interested if you walk in with £50 notes falling out your pocket. Actually, gotta give credit to the fella at Sevenoaks Subaru - he was really helpful and it's probably where I will head when I do eventually buy one.
With regards to the wrong posting - I've now moved it! Many thanks for the advice!

I'm chasing you about today.
Some dealers are like that I went to look at a Civic type R new and the salesman was very shirty and a bit of a tosser, hence me not getting one. I drive past there in the evo every now and again seeing his face a while ago when he seen me was a pic I shall never forget. I did have my middle finger up at the time.
No probs hope you get it sorted.

I wrote this and you've edited... Doh!
Dude you should ask this in general really as it is scoob related. This forum is other marques.
However I shall help you out since I have owned subaru's before seeing the light and getting an evo.
The early WRX is a japanise import therefore the insurance is going to be a lot dearer that that what you have been quoted I Know the WRX (import) is group 20 insurance. Subaru will not sell you parts or service your car (unlike mitsubishi) this can be a pain as i found out when I needed inlet gaskets. (they slammed the phone down on me). Wrx imports supposedly come out with 260bhp to 280 bhp dependent on model (most 280bhp versions tend to be sti, dearer ins again) but after you take off our weak fuel etc etc there really isnt much in it between import and UK spec.
I belive the standerd turbo impreza is group 17. Subaru will gladly help you with any needs and they can be made as quick as most import models about.
I'd go for a english spec as it isnt worth the extra for an import IMO unless your talking sti models.
Good luck and dont let the dealers with attitude gring you down.
