Finally picked up the Ferrari!

After 6 weeks of looking for a suitable P1 replacement, my next victim is a nice 348TS, now just cooling down from my first thrash (which turned into a 160km round trip!). I have to say, there is indeed something quite special about these cars - I know they're not the quickest or best handling, but do they ever put a huge grin on your face when you drive them And anyone who has dismissed the 348 is quite wrong - they may not be as good as the 355 but it's pretty damn close! For mondeo money too!
Dead chuffed anyway, so thought I'd share it with those who've helped me make my mind up these last few weeks (thanks all )

RT - Drove a dog of a 348 , then a peachy 328 hence my initial reaction. However, I have since discovered that Ferrari's of the same model can be totally different cars, depending on their condition, history and upgrades. In the end, the 348 is a more modern looking car and has lots of 355 bits, which is the one I want but can't yet afford, so I reckon it's a good first one to have.
Now where is that sports exhaust man when you need him (years of dedicated scooby training coming through )

Hi Mark - yes - my insurance on the 348 is £880 on the street in SW London! Much cheaper than the P1
David - I am most certainly interested - can you mail me more details. Thanks
Adi

Cheers Hol.
Hey turboman - check out autotrader, there's a mondeo for £58000 in there at the moment. What I meant was RHD F355 - great car for mondeo money . Anyway, I'll bet the passenger window motor doesn't have a dead spot in a mondeo

do you know Tubi stile make stainless steel exhausts for half the price the Ferrari dealers get them? (a friend of mine is a Ferrari dealer). £750 instead of £1500 I think it was (not sure, he told me about a year ago...)

Claudius - do you know if us joe public can buy the tubis at the discount price - as you are correct - 1500 squids they want for a backbox (makes scoobysport seem like poundstretcher!), so if I could get it for half that it would be great.

Let me check with Oliver and get back to you. Is it just the back box you want or the whole exhaust? I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I think it's a cat back system.

Ignore the idiot in the driving seat....
Bravo - picked mine up for 27k squids, which is a little more than you can get them for but I wanted a mint one as the bills if things go wrong would scare Bill Gates!
