Default is there a better 4x4

When you wake up on the morning you are due to leave the ski resort - and its snowed all night !!

what better car to get you family (wife and 4 of my 5 kids & all the ski gear) down the mountain & home to South Cambs (860 miles)

the legendary Toyota Landcruiser 4.2TD - mines (had it for 15 yrs) done 250k, uses no oil - effortlessly takes 6 ppl in comfort across countries - in any weather.

I had a cavernous Skoda Superb 4x4 with winter boots, never missed a beat in Alps snow, but still returned 55 mpg on the auto route. You win on ground clearance, I have more spondula for apres ski!

true, i like the Skoda Superb, we also have and A4 Quattro - but they couldn't do 6 adults in comfort

and these days apres ski is cheaper than going out in the UK
