Brake pedal sinks to floor.
Hi all so the mrs 06 Nissans navara
showing abs light to rear left. Changed sensor twice and still shows same fault. Won’t clear even with vehicle static.
brake pedal sinks , have replaced master cylinder and bled correctly the whole system. Run over a litre of new fluid through. No leaks before or after. No bulging pipes or lines and still the pedal goes to floor. With engine off the pedal gets still and keep pressure on and start it goes to floor ??? Any ideas as I’m at a loss now and want to burn it !!

I think its 2 seperate faults!
Try swapping the rear sensors side to side (Cant rememember trying it on a Nav but on Mitsys and some Toyotas the plugs are next to each other under the pick up bed so its easy!) If the problem swaps sides you know its the sensor, if the fault still shows rear left its the wiring between the pump and the sensor. Pretty sure the ABS wiring runs thru the big plug on the chassis at the front wheelarch on D23 models. Thats a shi...poor design and the plug fills with water and mud! The fact the code wont clear suggests the ABS control unit can see an open circuit.
I have seen sensor rings fail but when that happens you can usually clear the fault which returns when you drive it.
For the poor pedal
If you clamp off each brake off one at a time, see if the pedal returns. If you clamp off all the brakes and the travel is still excessive its either air still in the system or a failed master cylinder.
Does it have brake drums or discs on the rear? Sticking calipers or poorly adjusted drum brakes can give you a poor pedal too.
I think the ABS is ok. I'm pretty sure you would be able to see leaks or have fault codes.
