Default 50 cc bikes

Is that the max you can ride with a full car licence? if so are any good?

i Think ..

Your car licence if passed after 2001 allows you to ride a moped without L plates, but you still have to do a CBT 1st.

If you passed before 2001 you dont need the CBT.

You can ride upto a 50cc on a car licence but anything over that will require you to do a cbt

After you've done a CBT (cheap and easy) you can ride up to 125cc... then you need a full bike licence for anything more... unless they've changed the rules.

doesnt the CBT only last for 2 years if you dont pass a full bike test ?

I didn't know this,I thought you had to pass a CBT these days to ride anything,,handy to know as I passed my car test before 2001 so I might get a sit'n screw for the summer commute

I had a fizzy, an ap50 and an ss50 before I was 17. Then upgraded to the yb100 with a chopped exhaust and ace bars

My 93cc ar50 would have owned your yb100 bro got 80 out of it once, down hill.

Nobody round our way owned an ar, in the wilds of devon.
I got a mk1 dt125lc after the yb, my brother had an rd125lc

That was my last 2 stroke and that was about 1988!

The popularity of nifty fifty's was coming to an end in my area when I was 16 (27 years ago...). Fond memories of swapping sprockets to max out downhill speed & feeling far superior to my mates who still relied on their parents to give them a lift everywhere...

lol yep I remember breaking the 35mph limit with a smaller sprocket and thinking I was king of the road.
